World Population Day-2013 was Observed, here on Thursday. Marking the day, the District Medical & Health Office (DM&HO) has conducted an awareness rally in the city. Additional Joint Collector Mr. Markhandeyulu has flagg off the rally, which has conducted from DM&HO office to Ambedkar Bhavan in Kakinada. Later, the awareness seminar was organised by the DM&HO at Ambedkar Bhavan under the Chairmanship of District Medical & Health Officer Dr. Padmavathi. According to this, the district Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has presided over the program as a chief guest. Speaking on this, she ordered the DM&HO staff to try to make all the welfare schemes in No-1 position on implementation in the district by the time of World Population Day-2014'. She stated, 'Increase of Population will highly affect the Countries Financial position. She noticed that the family planning operations were conducted for 30 thousand families for 2011-12year, but it has been conducted for just 6 thousand families in this year. She asked the officials to analyse the situation. She also ordered them to do all the activities perfectly in the district. Later, she has presented awards to some of the DM&HO staff for their best services. Additional DM&HO's Dr. Venkata Ratnam, Dr. Pavan Kumar, Dr. Raju, District TB Control Officer Dr. Prasanna Kumar, DIO Dr. Murali Krishna, SETRAJ CEO Mr. Srinivasa Rao, Incharge Youth Coordinator Mr. Lakshmana Rao, Media Officer Mr. Prasad Raju, DM&HO Staff, Nursing students and other respective officials participated in the program. At the same time, marking the day, various schools, colleges & organisations from the city also conducted awareness rally's & seminars.
