A 30-days festival of BC Declaration by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has celebrated here on Thursday at Surya Kalamandir in Kakinada. According to this, TDP politburo member and former speaker Mr. Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has participated in the program as a chief guest. A huge number of BC welfare unions attended the meeting. Speaking on this, he stated that TDP had announced BC declaration to provide economical self-reliance and political power to the BC's and he noticed that TDP was the only party that had helped the BC's during the rule. "The declaration was intended to provide partnership in power to the backward classes and proper place in the legislature," he said. The former speaker said that the backward classes were given prominent place since the inception of Telugu Desam Party in 1982. "A committee under chairmanship of Devendar Goud was formed during the last Mahanadu for the backward classes which has resulted in the present declaration," he recalled. TDP Leaders from the district were participated in this program.
