Incharge JC B Rama Rao said that tenant farmers should be provided loans with the co-ordination of Agricultural and Revenue officers. On this issue, he conferenced with the bank officials here on Yesterday at Collectrate in Kakinada. Bank officials discussed about the obstacles being faced in sanctioning loans to eligible farmers. Government officials are not co-operating in completing the documentation process for providing loans, they added. Rs.30 crores are yet to be distributed among Kharif LEC farmers and also Rs.10 crores that are newly sanctioned. Loans sanctioned to farmers last year, has not renewed repaying the amount, they added. Due to all these reasons we are unable to provide loans, they added. West godavari is able to provide loans properly, then why not we, reacted Incharge JC. He also warned them that severe action will be taken if the situation continues like this and agricultural officers does not cooperate with them. Andhra bank which should be very helpful in coordinating everyone, is not showing its responsibility and also not attending for any of the meetings, he added. Later he spoke with Andhra bank DGM and ordered him to take action so that twenty thousand farmers may apply for renewal and also loans to be sanctioned to remaining fifty thousand farmers. He ordered to resolve the problems of applicants, who applied for loans.
