Kakinada people has grandly celebrated 'Sri Krishna Janmashtami' at Gokulam in Madhura Nagar here on Friday. Yesterday morning Gokulam Chairman, Mr. Narayanam Murali has organised Suprabatha Seva, Lagha Archana and Thomaala Seva followed by Tulasi Dhala Archana. In the evening from 5pm onwards they conducted fancy dress competition of Lord Krishna and Gopika's. About 300 children of age group between 6months to 10years actively participated and gratified everyone by dressing themselves like Lord Krishna and Radha. "Utti Mahotsavam" was organised in the night at 8pm.
Many schools and Sita Rama Partha Saradhi temple in Jaganaickpur has celebrated Janmastami grandly under the direction of Godavari Kala Koumidi Foundation and DSP Sai Sri has attended as chief guest. Pragati Little public School, Bhashyam & Sri Chaitanya Techno School children participated in poetry contests representing the greatness of Krishna and also participated in cultural programmes denoting the fame and important deeds of Lord Krishna.
