The APNGOs and employees district JAC's organised the bandh on Tuesday by forcing closure of all Central & State Government offices including banks in the town, as a part of the ongoing Samaikyandhra agitation. Marking the 70th day of the agitation since the movement commenced, the Teachers JAC conducted protest by forming 70 number shape with all his members and raised slogans against to the bifurcation. Later, the teachers JAC conducted the motor bike rally in the city. The electricity employees, who went on indefinite strike have conducted the protest infront of the Telugu Talli statue with support of the JAC. APNGOs district JAC led by the President Mr. Buriga Ashirvadam took out big procession. Advocates observed their hunger strikes on the day. The Government Doctors conducted a big protest infront of the Kakinada Government General Hospital and burnt the effigies of Sonia Gandhi, KCR and other leaders demanding the united state 'Samaikyandhra'. On otherside, the JNTU-K has postponed all examinations and admission counselling in view of the prevailing conditions in the state for Samaikyandhra.
