Normal Life Paralysed due to Bandh

Normal life was paralysed in Kakinada on Friday, due to the first day Seemandhra bandh, which was called by the Samaikya Rashtra Parirakshana Vedika against to the Telangana note approval by the Cabinet. According to this, a complete shut-down was observed in the city. All the educational institutions, commercial establishments, organizations, factories, shops, etc., were closed in the city. Transportation also stopped on the first day. The protesters tore the flexies of Congress Ministers and Leaders in all the places in the city. In this issue, the SP Govinda Rao was injured as a stick fell on him and he sustained a minor eye injury. A huge number of employees, teachers & JNTU-K students have tried to enter into the Congress Party office but the police men were stopped them. In the time of preventing the mob, there was a scuffle between the police and the agitators. The JNTU-K Students conducted protests infront of their University, by arranging comic flexies of Congress leaders and raised slogans against to them. Anger protests staging demonstrations at several places in the town disturbed the traffic. The agitators blocked all the major roads in the city. The NGOs JAC led by the District President Mr. Buriga Ashirvadam staged dharna infront of the DCC Office. Protesters not allowed vehicles to the city by staging rasta rokos at all the entrances in the city. The agitators deflated tyres of some of the moving vehicles in the city. Lawyers took out a procession with the effigy of Sonia Gandhi and burnt it infront of the Collectorate. RTC employees conducted protest infront of the RTC complex.
