NEDCAP MD Mr. Kamalakar Babu has stated that the Fuel (Energy) Audit program is to be conducted in 113 Municipal Corporations all over the state. Yesterday, he had visited the NEDCAP office in Kakinada and started the 3KW Solar Power Pack in the office premises. Speaking with media, he stated that the energy audit program will be helpful to reduce electricity usage in municipal corporations. This program is already executed in Karimnagar, Suryaraopeta, Khammam districts and it has given very good result in those areas, he added. This audit will also be conducted in all the major hospitals, industries and other offices in the state, he said. He said that they have received applications from around 178 industries in the state for Solar Energy systems, till now. He stated that the industries, who will arrange the Solar powerplants will get subsidy on Land registrations and other taxes in the state. Meanwhile, the domestic users will get subsidy, if they arranged solar panels on their own houses, he added. NEDCAP District Manager Mr. Nani Babu and other staff participated in the program.
