As part of the ‘Child Rights Week' celebrations, a motorcycle rally was conducted in the city under the aegis of Rajiv Vidya Mission. Kakinada Rural MLA, Mr.K. Kanna Babu flagged off the rally at Atchampet Junction here on Sunday. The motorcycle rally proceeded towards Jagannaickpur and Collectorate before concluding at Rajiv Vidya Mission's office. MLA, Mr. Kanna Babu highlighted the need for protecting the rights of children and called upon the educated citizens to take the initiative. Project Officer of the Rajiv Vidya Mission, Mr. A. Jayaprakash Rao said that scope should be given to the overall development of every child. Pithapuram MLA, Smt. Vanga Geetha stressed the need for discouraging child labour. District Educational Officer R.S. Ganga Bhavani and other officials were present.
