Incharge Joint Collector Mr. B. Rama Rao conducted a meeting yesterday night with civil supplies department and whole sale Kerosene dealers. He clearly stated that they would confiscate property of the wholesale kerosene dealers according to RR act, if they are unable to pay their debts. The actual number of wholesale dealers in the district are 44, in which 7 were suspended, he added. He said that 12 dealers were permitted to supply as they were able to repay the debts. If the remaining 25 dealers are unable to pay the debts within 2 days, they will not be permitted to supply the kerosene, he added. He also said that dealership of those will be cancelled, who are unable to repay their debts from long ago. He requested the NSO's and ASO's to carefully work on this issue. After this he conferenced on implementation of "Deepam" scheme with Civil Supplies department. He ordered them to provide immediately connections to the people who were selected for the year 2009-10 by organising Grama Sabhas.
