Eka Sabhya President Mr. V. Raghunatha Rao visited Collector office yesterday. He conferenced with the group of representatives of Jogini, Basivi, Devadasi and Surya Balija classes to conduct a study on the social state of these classes. Mr. Raghunatha Rao said, till now they have conducted this study in 15 districts and this is the 16th district. People are taking advantage of uneducated and innocent women on the name of heavenly deeds and marriage with God and children belonging to these classes are providing God name being unable to provide their Father name, he added. These differences can be eliminated only after eradicating illiteracy in all, he added. We will report the government on the social state of Surya Balija class in the district to remove these indifferences completely, he added. On this occassion Mr, Ch. Mallikarjuna Swamy, president of Surya Balija Sangam submitted a request letter to Mr. Raghunatha Rao to resolve the problems that are being faced by them by bringing a special law SC and ST to support and protect themselves. Social Welfare department JD Mr. Vijay Kumar, Bc Welfare officer Mr. Dhana Raj and several others participated in this program.
