'Mala Mahanadu' Dalit leaders were attacked the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTU-K) Professor Dr. Gopala Krishna here on Wednesday, infront of the Registrar Dr. Prasad Raju at the University premises in Kakinada. According to the sources, one of the contract women employee of the university alleged that the Mechanical dept Prof. Dr. Gopala Krishna has scold her using unparliamentary words. Listening to this, the Mala Mahanadu State President Mr. Ratnakar along with other dalit leaders suddenly attacked the professor at the university registrar cabin itself. The Sarpavaram Police immediately reached the spot after listening this from the university officials and handled the situation. Responding to this issue, the Registrar Dr. Prasad Raju has said that they have received complaint from the contract employee about this issue. 'After completing the investigation, we will take the final decision on this', he added. On otherside, JNTU-K students staged a protest infront of the SP office against to the dalit leaders attack on professor at around 9pm on the day. They have demanded the SP to arrest the persons who conducted & supported the attack.
