Around 66,360 hectares crop was lost in the district due to the heavy rains which are observed for a week long on the last month. Sources said, the district authorities have started reviewing the loss from past 15days in the district. The review process has came to end now and as per the sources, the crop loss is 66,360 hectares and the cotton fields loss is 10,306 hectares in the district. Still U.Kothapalli, Gollaprolu & Prathipadu mandals are not yet reviewed under this loss. After completing these three mandals, the district authorities will submit the loss list of total 58 mandals in the district to the Collector, sources added.
