The District Election Authorities were decided to conduct a trial of webcasting one day before the polling day to observe its functioning. According to sources, the webcasting trail would be held on 22, 26 & 30 of July in the district. A total 926 students drawn from various Engineering colleges under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada were selected for participating in this webcasting programme. They are being trained for two days on 16th & 17th July at JNTU-K on this. Speaking on this, Mr. P.Satyanarayana Reddy, General Observer of Elections to the district, stated 'webcasting process will help curb unwanted incidents and it will help Election Commission to take action against wrongdoes'. He said webcasting would be introduced in 1,198 polling booths in 568 polling stations.
