Rich tributes were paid to the memory of late Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at an official function held here today to mark his 61st birth anniversary celebrations. Kakinada City MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, Speakers, including ZP Chairman Ch.S.Venugopalakrishna and City Mayor Kavikondala Saroja participated in this celebrations. Each of them highlighted YSR's contributions in various programs like women empowerment schemes, welfare programs initiated for the farmers, free electricity to agriculture sector, Fee reimbursement and scholarships and paavala vaddee loans for women and several other programs. They also recalled how several projects were taken up under Jala Yagnam to bring lakhs of acres under irrigation. As a part of this occasion, Loans of Rs.13.35 Cr were distributed to nearly 676 women. Another Rs.40.50 lakh was distributed to 160 people.
