The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned the Inter University Center for Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. According to this, the JNTU-K Registrar Dr. G. V. R. Prasad Raju had released a press note here on Monday. The UGC has approved the set up of an Inter University Center for Teachers Education with a fund of Rs. 60 crore in JNTU-K. The grants for the centre would be paid by the UGC directly as per the UGC act. The major objectives of this center is sponsoring guest faculty from various universities and organising advanced summer/ winter schools, he added.
