State Chief Minister Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has ordered the district officials to provide sufficient water to the public, without providing any inconvenience in this summer. He had conducted a video conference here on Tuesday from his office. According to this, all of the respective district officials participated in this conference from the Collectorate in Kakinada. CM has mainly discussed about the execution of Drinking Water supply, Upadi Hami scheme & Revenue meetings in the district. He stated that around Rs.110 crores of funds are going to be released to solve water problem the state. In that, Rs.50 Lakhs for Drinking water, Rs.1 Crore for CRF and Rs.2 Crores for Non CRF funds will be released to the district, he added. He noticed that the power supply should not be stopped from evening 6pm to morning 6am, as it is the examinations time. He ordered them to solve the issues, which are raised in revenue meetings with in 90days. Responding to this, Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that 'we will supply water through tankers for around 140 areas in the district in this summer'. As many as 56 thousand people are beneficiated under Upadi Hami scheme presently, she added. We will try to increase this number, she stressed. Joint Collector Mr. A. Babu, Sub Collector Mr. Gandam Chandrudu, Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao, DRO Mr. Yadagiri and other officials attended the conference.
