Samaikyandhra Bandh Continues

Samaikyandhra Bandh continues in the city from last seven days. As a part of this, Yesterday, all the traders closed their businesses in protest against to the decision of State bifurcation. Supporting the bandh, the Electrical, Electronics, Furniture and Garments traders closed their showrooms in the city. A huge number of Youth conducted Two-wheeler vehicles rally in the city. Lorry Owners association conducted a big rally with total 250 lorries in and around the city. Samaikyandhra JAC, Students, Employees, Educational Institutions Managements, AP NGO Associations, Municipal Employees, Endowments officers, Electrical shops dealers along with public conducted rallies & rasta rokos at different places in the city. The protesters conducted cooking and dining programs on the roads in the major areas of the city. Congress, TDP, YSRCP and other political party leaders from the district supported and participated in these protests. City Congress Leaders conducted 'Santhi Homam' near their office in Kakinada. Mee Seva centers, ATMs and many other helplines were closed, RTC buses transportation stopped for many areas. The protesters burnt the effigies of Sonia Gandhi and KCR in the city.
