Samaikyandhra Bandh on 8th Day

Samaikyandhra Bandh was observed in the city on eighth day, i.e., 7th August 2013. A huge number of people from various organisations observed Rasta rokos & Dharnas in the city, against to the state bifurcation. All the educational institutions, trades, organizations, companies, businesses, offices, banks, ATMs were remained closed in the city on Wednesday.

JNTU-K Engineering Students conducted huge protest. According to this, JNTU-K Vice Chancellor Dr. Tulasi Ram Das has visited the protest camp and supported them. Chaitanya college students conducted protest at Bhanugudi center.

Employees District JAC observed cooking & eating programs on the roads. ZP Employees conducted scooter rally.

Government Doctors, Advocates, RTO employees, Arya Vysya Sangham members and many others conducted rallies, rasta rokos and strikes in the city.

Journalists staged a protest infront of the Collectorate in Kakinada. One of the Journalist attempts suicide for Samaikyandhra. Ex-MLA Mr. Dwarampudi Chandra Shekar Reddy reached the spot and stopped him.

The Animal Husbandry employees offered garlands to the statue of Potti Sriramulu and worshiped him by doing 'Palabhishekam' to the statue.

Municipal Sanitation workers conducted 'Dappu Vinyasalu'. Buidling Workers Union members staged dharna in the city. Motor Repair Owners observed the Scooter Rally. Quarry Lorry Owners conducted dharna with their lorries near Collectorate.

Rashtra Samaikya Parirakshana Vedika is going to seize the residence of Union HRD Minister Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju in the city, Today as a part of the protest against the state bifurcation.

Sources said, there is a huge loss to companies, businesses and banks as many transactions and activities were being stopped due to the continuous protests. Bandh affects normal lives in the city.
