Samaikyandhra Agitations reached 10th day on 9th August 2013, since the Samaikyandhra Movement commenced. These ten days have successfully managed to mount pressure on the political leaders cutting across party lines forcing them to resign and take part in the Samaikyandhra agitation. The protesters conducted bandhs, rallies, rasta rokos, rail rokos, strikes, dharnas, hunger strikes and many agitations against to the state bifurcation. The agitations have made Congress sit up and take notice. Still the protesters continuing their agitations.
On the 10th Day, Arya Vysya association members conducted 'Palabhishekam' program to the state of Potti Sriramulu in the city. DM&HO employees, Doctors, Advocates, JNTU-K Students and many other organisations and public. protesting in their own way in the city. Some of the protesters burnt the effigies of Sonia & KCR at Balaji cheruvu center in Kakinada. Political parties are highly supporting these protests. These protests were not stopped by many associations/ unions in the city, even the District JAC called to stop the protests for two days in view of Ramzan festival.
Ramachandrapuram MLA Mr. Thota Trimurthulu took out a padyatra while another MLA Mr. Kanna Babu performed a fire ritual ('homam') at Sarpavaram junction in Kakinada. Bike rallies were organised by students at Kakinada. Protests were held in many areas in the city.

Responding to the Antony's committee appointment by Sonia Gandhi, the Citizen's Initiative Secretary Mr. Duvvuri Subrahmanyam said that there was no use in appointing the Antony Committee to protect Seemandhra interests. He said that the committee can receive all opinions and objections on separate statehood except keeping the state United. He called upon the people to boycott the committee in the interests of Seemandhra.
