AP TRANSCO, SC, ST and Christian community employee unions demanded to appoint Shift Incharges on merit basis for the upcoming Power Sub Station in the district. With respect to this Chief Secretary of the Union Mr. Hema Sundar Babu handed over resquest letter of the same to Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad. He allegated that the above said posts are being filled considering recommondations without following the merit. Rule of Reservation is also not being implemented, he added. He said that 28 shift incharges are required for the 7 new upcoming power sub stations in Kakinada division. He requested to appoint them on the basis of merit or else to appoint them under "Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu". He also requested to send clear orders to rajahmundry electricity department, regarding the same.
