A meeting was organized to mark the National Nutrition Week here on Saturday. Additional Joint Collector, Mr. B. Rama Rao said that the problem of malnutrition was being noted across the nation and a combined effort from the Government and the public was needed to resolve the problem. He said that feeding nutritious food to infants and children is the need of the hour. Addressing the Anganwadi workers and representatives of various service organizations here, Mr. Rama Rao said that the Women and Child Welfare Department was distributing nutritious food supplements to pregnant women and infants in rural and urban areas.
