Women Basketball players team from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, has got selected for South India Inter University Women Basketball Competitions, which are to be held at Tamilnadu Annamalai University from 7th of November to 11th of November, 2012. According to this, University Sports Secretary, Mr. G. Syam Kumar had released a press note here on Monday. He said, the team has went to Tamilnadu here on Monday to participate in these competitions. He revealed the names of the team members as; P. Prathima, B. Sushma, D. Sri Manojna, P. Naga Lakshmi, A. Sri Lakshmi Parvathi, A. Chaitanya Vani, P. Suchitra, D. Haritha Sri, P. Roja Rani, S. Dhanalakshmi (Captain) and K. N. D. Bhavani. G. Sunitha will observe the competitions as a coach cum manager of the team, he added.. JNTU-K Vice Chancellor Dr. G. Tulasi Ramdas, Rector Mr. K. Satya Prasad and Academic Planning Director Mr. G. V. R. Prasad Raju were appreciated the students on this selection.
