District Administration had released the preliminary report for the loss in district due to the Nilam cyclone from last few days. Stating this, District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad said, there was a huge crop loss in the district. She said that nearly 10 crores of loss will be estimated for infrastructure like roads and drains due to rains. She reviewed the flood situation in the district with respective officials. She ordered the officials to take necessary steps to create temporary facilities to the people without providing any inconvenience to them. Joint teams have been formed for enumerating the damage and loss in various sectors like agriculture, irrigation, roads & buildings, electricity, fisheries and others, she added. She directed officials to create confidence among the people on government services.
