The 5th Anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada was grandly celebrated here on Thursday at alumni auditorium in the University. On this occasion, the JNTU-K & its affiliated colleges Professors Padmaja Rani, Krishna Mohan, Babulu, Subbarao, Ravindra, Koteswara Rao were received best teacher awards. A total 82 students from the university received Ph.D awards. Former Vice Chanceller of the University Dr. Allam Apparao has been invited as a chief guest to this program. Speaking on this occasion, the University Vice Chancellor Dr. Tulasi Ram Das has stated that the funds of Rs.200 Crores would be spent under the development of the University. He had explained about the development works, which are undergoing in the university. The online touch screen answering sheet system will be introduced from the month of December, he announced. Speaking on this, Dr. Allam Apparao said that the university has faced many challenges initially to get into this position. Later, the VC Dr. Tulasi Ram Das has felicitated the Former VC Dr. Allam Apparao, Former Rector Dr. E.V.Prasad and Former Director Mr. N.Apparao on this occasion. The VC has inaugurated the 5years (2008-2013) souvenir of the University on this occasion. JNTU-K Rector Dr. Prabhakar Rao, Registrar Dr. Prasad Raju, Directors, Principals, HOD's, Professors & other staff and students attended the program.
