School Games Federation has conducted Under-14, 16 sports selections for both girls & boys here on Thursday at District Sports Grounds in Kakinada. District Sports Development Officer S.V.Ramana has started these competitions. Speaking on this, she stated that there is a huge response for school games now, compared to previous year. Nearly 600 players came for the selections, it shows their interest on school games, she added. These games will surely helpful to the students for their future, she noticed. Later, School Games Secretary Mr. Srinivasa Rao has said, students from various schools in the district have participated in these competitions. The competitions held in Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Netball, Football, Weightlifting, Throwball & Shuttle sports. These selected students will go for State Level competitions soon from the district, he added. Under-19 School Games Secretary Mr. Y.Tatabbai, RMC PD Mr. Sparjan Raju, PR College PD Mr. Venkata Swamy, Ideal College PD Mr. Varma, P.E.T's Mr. Nookaraju, Mr. Satish, DSA coach's and others participated in the program.
