District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the government is giving high priority to solve the issues of SC/ ST poor people in the district. She has participated in the District SC/ ST Vigilance & Monitoring Committee meeting here on Thursday, at Vidhan Gowtami hall in Kakinada. Speaking on this, she announced that the poor students in SC/ ST community would be provided scholarships under encouragement scheme for this academic year. The poor SC/ ST students, who got 400 or above marks in the coming 10th class examination results, are required to register for this academic year, she stated. Corporate education will be provided by the government for all these SC/ ST poor students under this scheme, she said. Later, she ordered the Peddapuram RDO to investigate about the assigned lands of SC's in Thondangi Mandal Kodhada village.
