After completion of Nine days festival, the Ganesh Nimajjan (Immersion of Ganesh Idols) festival has been grandly celebrated, here on Wednesday. Firstly, the devotees performed special pooja and later they have conducted huge processions with Ganesh idols in the City. Around 80 big idols and 150 small idols were being immersed at Upputeru near Jagannaikcpur bridge in Kakinada. Big Cranes and Generators were used for this immersion program. Huge number of Devotees participated in the processions. The Kakinada Ganesh Utsav Committee organised this fest with the support of District Administration. Police arranged bandobust for the idols processions. District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, SP Mr. Shiva Shankar Reddy, Kakinada DSP Mr. Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ravi Kumar and many other district officials observed the arrangements before this immersion fest.
