District Collector, Mr. M.Ravi Chandra stated that admiration to hand-looms is being increased day to day. He also stated that Government is putting efforts to encourage workers of hand-looms through hand-loom associations by providing marketing facilities to improve sales. He participated in the inaugural function of Exhibition cum sales of hand-looms here at Pydah Chalamayya Kalyana Mandapam, Temple Street in Kakinada. Speaking on this, he called upon to encourage workers of handlooms which is part of our country's culture and history. Handlooms Business Department Incharge AD GVS Prasad said that this exhibition will run from 13th to 22nd of February. In this exhibition, Pochampalli, Gadwal, Silver zari sarees, bedsheets and others garments are available for reasonable prices, he added. In this program, District Handlooms Cooperative Union President, Mr. D.Veerupaaksham, Suryanarayana, various Handlooms unions representatives participated in this program.
