Management of JNTU College of Engineering, Kakinada staged protest before administration block here on Wednesday. Management complained that the disregarding nature of State Government on the decisions taken by UGC is causing financial loss to them. They also stated that the increments given after year 2006 by UGC were still pending. Directors, Professors, University lecturers said that their pending salaries from January 2006 to December 31st 2009 are still pending. UGC also declared retirement age as 65 years which is also being implemented in all States all over the country. However, our Andhra Pradesh State Government is not implementing this. They warned that if Government does not look into their problems, they will stop the conduct of all Common entrance examinations in near future. The pending salaries is paid to Polytechnic and Degree management but ignoring University management is not accepted, they added.
