The Communist Party of India (Marxist) - CPI(M) is calling for State Bandh, which is to be conducted by all the Left Parties on 9th of this Month, against power cuts and power tariff hike in the state. According to this, the CPI(M) Party District Committee has conducted a meeting here on Tuesday at CITU Bhavan in Kakinada. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the party leader Mr. T. N. Prakash here. Speaking on this, the Party District Secretary Mr. Dhadala Subbarao said, 'the people were already burdened with surcharge and now the government has increased the tariff. We demand the rollback of tariff hike'. He has criticized the congress party ruling in the state. All the Left parties will participate in this strike, he added. The protest will continue till the hike is withdrawn, leaders stressed. They called the public to support them to fight against the state government on power charges hike. CPI (M) Leaders Mr. Palivela Veerababu, Mr. T. Arun, Mr. M. Rajashekar, Mr. Ch. Ajay Kumar, T. Savitri, Mr. Atcha Rao and others participated in the program.
