Vanitha Vasavi club along with GMR Varalakshmi Foundation has given a interest free Cheque of Rs.15,000/- to economically backward families under Joint Service Project of Self Employment Scheme. They have provided a facility to repay this amount in 15 months. This cheque was given to help a paper vendor family in Jaganaickpur to develop their business. Apart from this as on 31-12-2011, 1354 families were benifited under this scheme. Director of Vasavi Club International Mr. K. Karuna Kumar was sent to present this cheque to the backward families. Deputy Governor Mrs. N.V.D. Murthy, Zonal Chairperson S.V. Ramana Kumari, President Mutha Dhanalakshmi, Secretary S. Radha,Treasurer P. Sai Sri Lakshmi also participated in this programme.
