Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada and Dharithri Rakshana Samithi, were jointly organised a Biodiversity Conference here on Thursday at the University campus in Kakinada. The conference was held under the chairmanship of JNTU-K Vice Chancellor, Dr. Tulasi Ramdas. Speaking on this, he stated 'Nature is the gift of God, so we should treat her as a mother & we should protect her with respect'. Every citizen must shoulder the responsibility of protecting the environment, he added. He called upon the students to save earth from global warming by controlling pollution. He said, man should be balanced while using the five elements (Pancha Bhuthas) from nature. 'If we protect nature, then she will protect us', he stated. JNTU-K Registrar Dr. E. V. Prasad, APPCB Environmental Engineer Mr. Pramod Kumar Reddy, Principal Dr. Koppireddy Padmaraju, Dharithri Rakshana Samithi President S. Surekha, Dr. N. Apparao, Rector Dr. Satya Prasad and others participated in the conference.
