Kakinada, Dec 5th: East Godavari district stood first in implementation of the government health program Rajiv Arogyasri which started in the district one year ago. This program is catering the needs of many middle class and poor families to undergo treatment without any medical expenditure.
In the last one year the government has facilitated the operation programs for the nearly 12,000 people in the district. In addition to this the government has conducted 405 medical camps through which thousands of people were diagnosed with various deceases in the district. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Gopalakrishna said that many more effective measures will be taken under this project.
He said that they have received some complaints from the people stating the problems faced in few hospitals. Collector promised to enquire on the problems and solve them as soon as possible. “Review meetings will be conducted every month to avoid such things”, he added.
Collector asked the concerned departments to supply the medicines without fail for the patients who undergo operations, for the complete year. The district medical and health officer, Dr D. Vijay Kumar, the district Arogyasri coordinator Mr. s. Srikrishna Kumar, Insurance company coordinator Naveen and many more attended the function.
