The Central Government of India has granted permission to the East Godavari district to set-up permanent Aadhaar centres for the enrollment process. According to the sources, the Aadhaar enrollment process has been done till now by the private agencies. But, the agencies were not paid salaries to the operators from last three months and also most of the agencies were closed the operations from last few days. Responding to this, the government has taken this decision. As per the government orders, the district administration is planning to set-up 70 permanent Aadhaar centres in the district. These centres will function in Mee Seva centres in the district, sources said.
