AIDS disease will be controlled only through awareness programmes, stated by the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad marking the 'World AIDS Day' here on Sunday ie., 1st of December 2013. In association with the District AIDS Control Society, the District Administration has conducted a seminar on AIDS disease control at the Collector Camp office in Kakinada. Firstly, the Collector has taken breakfast along with the AIDS affected children in this program. Later, speaking on this, she had explained the progress of AIDS disease control in the district. She asked the officials to conduct more awareness programs in the district. The district medical & health department along with some voluntary organisations have conducted social awareness activities in this program.
