66th Independence Day Celebrations

Animal Husbandary Minister Mr. P. Viswaroop hoisted our National Flag yesterday in Police Parade Grounds, Kakinada on the occasion of 66th Independence Day. Adopting freedom attainted six and half centuries ago, we acheived many things and developed in many ways and we shall follow in the same path towards success, he added. I salute to all those who have sacrificed their lifes in freedom fight and irrespective of  race, religion and community we shall unitedly strive for our Country progress and our ancestors, he added. We are striving for Agriculture development and also for farmers welfare without compromising in anything. Through "Jala Yagnam" program we are able to provide water for cultivation on large scale and medium scale and also able to provide water for 1.92 Lakh acres in addition to what was planned before and along with venkatachalam pushkara waterfall project, Musurumilli, Bhupatipalem, Surampalem and Venkata Nagaram projects have also been very useful for farmers in cultivation, he added. Reconstruction works of Godavari Delta and Flood water reserves are under progress and we are also helping farmers by providing them with Farming Loans and Abhaya Hastam cards by spending crores off rupees, he added. Fishermen are also being covered along with people holding Mini Dairies, Fishernen are exempted from sales tax on diesel oil, they are coverd under Bima policies and are establishing 22 new fish markets. Apart from these several schemes like pensions to senior citizens, physically handicapped and loans to Dwakara women and many more are being carried out for social security of people.
As a part of 3rd phase in "Indiramma Padakam" 2.26 Lakh houses were constructed with Rs.882 Crores and still 1.21 Lakh houses are under progress, he added. Under Rajiv Vidhya Mission we are going to construct 1588 additional classrooms and mid day meals in more than 4000 schools and free books to 32 lakh students are being organised. We are going to provide 66,000 Deepam in addition to 2.33 Lakh connections. Government is working hard on employment schemes for BC, ST and SC. Government is also striving hard on Women Welfare programmes. we are also reconstructing Kakinada - Rajahmundry Canal road which will be completed within six months, he added. And not only that 4360 industries were permitted with fund of Rs. 1041 Crore. We are also working on Kakinada Beach and Sports accommodation and also on fee reimbursement of all SC, St and BC students. Thus Minister ended his speech. Collector, Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, SP Trivikram and many other officials participated in this celebrations. Schools, Colleges, Clubs and many offices celebrated Independence Day grandly.
