The Prohibition and Excise Department Officials, on Saturday arrested 15 persons in different cases on the charges of transporting illicit liquor and selling it under Kakinada Prohibition excise limits. The officials recovered 97 litres and 10,110 litres of liquor on different cases in & around Kakinada. Speaking with media persons, the Prohibition and Excise Superintendent Mr. K.Balarama Krishna said that bind-over cases were registered against five old criminals under the excise department. He asked the electoral candidates not to encourage the illegal transport of liquor during the election period.
