Required Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager

The company Quality Assurance/ Quality Control Manager is the representative of the Yard/ Project and has the responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Master’s Degree in Naval Architect/ Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering

Certifications:

CSWIP and BGAS-CSWIP or a certification holder from any equivalent Body in welding technology is a must. Added advantage for the candidates who also holds certifications for surface preparation and coating technology (Such as NACE or from Similar Body) but not limited to

Experience:

Minimum 7-8 Years or above in quality management from Oil & Gas Sectors Onshore and Offshore, Ship Building or Ship Repair, or Heavy Steel welding construction projects

Key Skills:

** Hands on Experience in Management of Quality Systems. Conducting Internal and External Audits
** Well verse with ISO 9001, API Spec Q1 as a minimum but not limited to
** Having certifications or knowledge of QHSE standards like OHSAS is an added advantage
** Hands on experience in writing Welding and NDT Procedures and Qualifications
** Well versed with standards like ASME Section V, VIII and IX, AWS D1.1, D1.2, NACE MR 0175 and dealing with welding of materials working for H2S Sour Services

Work Location:

Fabrication Yard Kakinada/ Project Location (Shall Be confirmed prior Appointment of the Candidates)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. The preparation of the companies QA manual control and supervision of all amendments and revisions
2. Control and the distribution of all the company’s quality documentation
3. Monitor all quality related activities on the project
4. Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the company’s management
5. Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and contractor documentation submittals
6. Attend all pre-bid meetings and coordinate all project requirements with the project bidders
7. Attend client quality management meetings
8. The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement
9. Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
10. Monitor the disposition of all issued non-conformance reports
11. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements when required
12. Coordinate all QA/ QC activities with the site/ Yard QC Engineers
13. Coordinate all QA/ QC activities with the procurement manager and make reception check list are followed site/ Yard QC Engineers as per the Project/ Job requirements
14. Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer’s representatives
15. Monitor statistical method reporting
16. Action and close all customer complaints
17. Control all achieve documentation upon the completion of the project
18. Train sub-ordinates and new quality engineers to upgrade their skills in quality
19. Set KPI’s and achievement goals of the company’s quality department and their personnel’s and submit the periodical performance reports to the management
