Workers Unions from the district, staged a 'Jail Bharo' here on Wednesday infront of the RDO Office in Kakinada on demanding government to protect workers rights and also to provide job security for them. They have organised this huge protest against to the central & state governments. They have demanded to provide minimum Rs.10 thousand of salary per month for each worker. Also demanded to take off the ceiling on Gratuity, PF & Bonus payments. They had greived that the government should take back the decision of FDI on retail marketing and prices hike. They said that they are going to organise the country wide huge protest on 20th & 21st of February, 2013 on this. Around 97 members were arrested and later released by the police. Supporting the protest, AITUC Leaders Mr. Thatipaka Madhu, Mr. P. S. Narayana, Mr. Pedhireddy Satyanarayana, Mr. Thokala Prasad, Mr. Nakka Kishore, CITU Leaders Mr. A. V. Nageswara Rao, Mr. Duvva Seshu Babji, Mr. T. S. Prakash, TNTUC Leaders Mr. Gadhula Sai Baba and others participated in the program.
