Women Basket Ball Team Selections were conducted at Annavaram Satyadevi Women’s Degree College here on Monday. Nearly 41 sportswomen from various colleges affiliated to Andhra University across the district attended for these selections. College Principal M.Veerabaddarao commenced these selections. The selections were conducted from 9am to 6pm and Syam Babu, Sailaja Lawrence, College PD Uma Maheswari, D.Vani Satya Lakshmi examined the selections. Syam Babu stated that 12 best candidates out of 41 were selected. Training will be given for selected candidates in the college itself, he added. This team will be participating in the competitions that would be conducted at Kannur, Kerala in the month of November.
