Kakinada Municipal Corporation is going to take serious action on the usage of polythene as per the Government orders on Prohibition of Polythene. According to this, Corporation has decided to organize three teams with Sanitary Inspectors for the prohibition of polythene in Kakinada, each team will have four members. These teams will inspect the allotted areas to find & punish the people who are using or encouraging usage of polythene bags. Speaking on this, Corporation Public Health Officer, Dr. Ratna Uma stated that merchants & consumers who encourage polythene will have serious action taken against them. She said, polythene should be prohibited mainly in Hospitals, Temples, Function halls & public places to protect ourselves. She called upon the public to cooperate Government and avoid polythene.
