AP State Election Commissioner Mr. Ramakanth Reddy has ordered the district authorities to prepare District Voters list for Panchayat elections. He had conducted a review meet with all the respective officials from the district, about coming Panchayat Elections through web conference here on Saturday. Speaking on this, he asked them to continue the new voters registrations in the district upto the Panchayat Elections notification released. Responding to this, the Joint Collector Mr. Ahmed Babu had explained about the Panchayat elections arrangements in the district. He said that the district voters photo identity list was prepared. There are around 1007 panchayat's in the district and in that, 11,282 wards are there, he announced. As many as 7619 ballet boxes are ready for use and 3,898 boxes are having some repairs. So that, he asked the Election Commissioner to release Rs.13 Lakhs of funds for these repairs. SC, ST, BC voters are also recognised, he added. He stated that they are making arrangements to provide photo identity cards to the voters through 330 Mee Seva centers in the district. Web cameras will be arranged in all the polling centers, and all the necessary precautions were taken to conduct these elections peacefully & strictly, he stressed. Later, the Commissioner Mr. Ramakanth Reddy ordered them to do all the arrangements for Panchayat, Mandal Parishad and Zilla Parishad elections in the district. ZP CEO Mr. Jayaraj, DPO Mr. Sridhar Reddy and other respective officials were participated in the program.
