The District BC Employees Association has celebrated the 183rd birth anniversary of First Female Teacher late Savitribai Phule, wife of Jyotirao Phule, here on Thursday. According to this, the District BC Welfare Officer (FAC) Mr. Sunkara Madhusudhana Rao has presided over the program as a chief guest. Firstly, he had offered garlands to the photograph of Savitribai Phule in the office premises. Speaking on this, he stated, as a wife of a great social leader, Savitribai rendered service to the women belonging to the deprived sections of the society through ‘Satyasodhak Samaj'. He said that the life of the great lady was an inspiration to the present generation. The program was held under the chairmanship of the association District President Mr. Illa Satyanarayana. Association Leaders Mr. Y.Malakondayya, Mr. Chollangi Venugopal, Mr. Irusumalla Vishnu, Mr. Kingbabu, Mr. Mullu Satyanarayana Murthy, Mr. Pilli Srinivas, Mr. Koumuju Nehru, Mr. Konda Vinayak and others participated in the program.
