State Teachers Union (STU) leaders submitted an appeal letter to the District Collector, requesting six days holidays for Sankranti festival for all the Government & Zilla Parishad schools in the district. Yesterday, they have submitted the letter to the Collector at her chamber in Collectorate, Kakinada. Speaking on this, the STU leaders stated that the government has issued only 3-days holidays for this year because of Samaikyandhra agitation affect on the academic year. But minimum six days holidays are required to all the students & teachers to go for vacations, that they felt. They have also met the District Educational Officer (DEO) Mr. K.V.Srinivasula Reddy on this and submitted their appeal letter to him. The Union District President Mr. P.V.Satyanarayana Raju, Main Secretary Mr. K.V.Sekhar, Members Mr. V.Bhumi Reddy, Mr. Grandhi Srinivas and others were participated in this program.
