Pyka State Level Weight Lifting competitions were commenced here at District Sports Grounds on Wednesday. Total 152 sportsperson from 15 districts attended for these competitions. Sportsperson from Mehboob Nagar, Krishna, East, West Godavari, Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram and Vishaka Districts attended. Additional Joint Collector, Mr. B.Ramarao participated as cheif guest and commenced the competitions. Sportsperson who won in these competitions will be sent to participate in National Level competitions that will be held from 5th to 7th January in Tummakuru, Karnataka. Weight lifting Coach Satish Kumar presided over this program. In this program, Incharge DSDO S.Ramana, Deputy Director of Sports Authority NC Mohan, Coach Satish, Former DSO Ravi, Hockey Association Secretary Ravi Raju, TT Coach Venu, various district coaches, sportsperson were present.
