The pension amount for total 3900 Physically Handicapped candidates in district has been setback. These candidates did not attend for SADAREM examination and therefore pension amount of June month was not given. Candidates who receive Rs.500/- pension were listed in the bogus list. Pensions were provided for total 72,000 Physically Handicapped candidates. As complaints were received that few of them were bogus, SADAREM exams were conducted. This new procedure was started in October 2010. However, few candidates did not attend for this examination. Due to this, pension amount to be given in the month of June was setback. Another chance has been provided for these candidates, i.e. exam will be conducted at Kakinada Government General Hospital and Rajahmundry General Hospital. DRDA Project Director (PD) Madhukar Babu said that this is last chance to prove the identity of physically handicapped candidates. This exam will be conducted every Friday at the centers mentioned above. Candidates whose pension has been setback can contact respective Mandal Parishat and Municipal Corporation Offices, he added. Pension will be setback again if candidate are less than 40% handicapped.
