A complete shutdown was observed in the city, in support to the Samaikyandhra Bandh here on Tuesday, against the CWC decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh state. The bandh which was called by the NGO Association was observed all over the city. All the government & private employees supported the stir. The bandh was named as 'Sarvajana Samaikyandhra Samme'. Nearly 60 thousand employees participated in the protest from the district.
Protesters burnt the effigies of KCR & Sonia Gandhi. Advocates conducted a big bike rally in the city. Educational Institutions, Businesses, Companies, Banks and many other organizations were remain closed in the city. RTC services stopped for the entire day. The bandh will continue on Thursday also.
