Rs.50 Lakhs of funds were released to District Backward Castes (BC) Welfare Department from the Government. According to this, the District BC Welfare Officer Mr. Dhanaraj has released a press note here on Thursday. Speaking on this, he stated that this total will be used for the salaries of the contract workers, who are working under the BC welfare girls & boys hostels in the district. He said there is a huge need to pay salaries to them immediately, because nearly 9 months of salary was pending to those contract workers. So that this amount will be used for those salaries, he added. 'We are providing basic pay along with PF & ESI facilities to the contract employees also under the department', he noticed. We are trying to bring the department in first position over the state in coming 10th class results, he added.
