The district authorities on Friday paid homage to Veteran Freedom Fighter and former Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Babu Jagjivan Ram on his 106th Birth Anniversary. The day also observed as Samta Diwas. According to this, the District Ministers Mr. Pinipe Viswaroop, Mr. Thota Narasimha, Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad and SP Mr. Siva Shankar Reddy offered garlands to the Bronze statue of Jagjivan Ram near Ladies club in Kakinada and paid rich tributes to him. Speaking on this, Minister Mr. Pinipe Viswaroop has stated that 'Babu Jagjivan Ram building' will be constructed soon with Rs.60 Lakhs of expenses with all the new amenities in Kakinada. Various political parties and organizations also celebrated the day.
