The District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that the 'Indiramma Kalalu' program will be conducted in the District in all SC & ST Wards, Mandals and Villages from 9 th to 30 th of April. Speaking in a review meet with MPDO's and other special officers, she said the Government took the sub-plan as a priority issue and a campaign on the sub-plan Act had already commenced in the District. She stated that the Government’s motive is to lessen economic inequality between SC / STs and other community. She directed the officials to conduct grama sabhas to receive representations from SC's and ST's. The grama sabha would begin with reading out Chief Minister's message, she noticed. She said works such as drinking water supply, laying of cement concrete roads, construction of anganwadi buildings, drainage and electricity facility would be given priority. MPDO's, Tahsildars, RWS, Panchayati Raj, Transco, Social Welfare, Girijan Welfare and other respective officials would participate mandal wise in this program without any fail, she added. Joint Collector Mr. Babu, Rampachodavaram Sub Collector Mr. Chandrudu, ITDA PO Nagamani, Additional Joint Collector Mr. B. Ramarao and others participated in the meeting.
